SOLD – FOR SALE ’67 Java green Beetle – SOLD

After 8 years of ownership ive decided to sell my beetle to fund a splitscreen project,I bought it in 2005 drove it for 2 years then between 2007 and 2010 it had a professional full restoration, since 2010 ive been using it for nice weekend trips away, summer evenings and VW shows.

During the restoration it had as follows ….

new floor pans, heater channels, all 4 quarter panels, boot floor, frame head, A-piller bottoms and front tub, then a bare metal re-spray in java

it had brand new brakes all round re-drilled for 5×130 porsche pattern, new 4″ narrowed beam with drop spindles, all new wheel bearings, ball joints and track rod ends

It sits on a set of JGE cosmics 5×15 all round with good 145/65 and 195/65 tyres

It runs the correct original 1500 gearbox and a fully re-built and detailed 1500 single port engine

i kept the original seats, door cards and headlining in the car after the restoration and even though they are ‘worn’ you cannot beat the vintage smell when you open the door, this is just my personal preference to keep some originality

The rear pop out windows are factory and the spot light on the bumper works, there is a head unit hidden away in the glove box with i-pod hook up, and some 6×9 speakers hidden in a vintage 60’s suitcase behind the rear seats so everything stays uncut and factory

all the window and door rubbers are good German quality

I have a 120 pictures in a photo album of every step of the restoration and a big ring bind folder with all the history and receipts
