Mattys standard model 55 oval
After selling his palm green sand green 55 bus Matty got into a 73 911. That stayed around for a while and then had to go, making way for his new house. A year or so later he’s decided to go back to his roots- an oval.
The car, a standard 55 originated in Denmark before coming over to the UK. At some point in its life it got painted a shade of blue, possibly dove blue. Straight after collection a call went out from Matty telling us he’s revealed an area of original paint and would we help stripping the paint back to reveal the original Jupiter grey…
Zuffenhaus!
Many of you will know our boy Mike Chare, owner of the mental 411, 67 java Bug, original paint early panel van etc etc.
After taking some time away from the VW scene to concentrate on his career, Mike along with his father Paul are proud to announce the opening of their own Porsche specific garage.
Initially after leaving college Mike got a Porsche apprenticeship, customers will be in safe hands with 8 years experience working on the prestigious sports car brand. Paul has also owned and ran Porsches for a number of years, with his roots deeply held within the british Porsche scene (former chairman of the Porsche club UK).
Make sure you follow their Facebook page for some awesome vintage and contemporary Porsche porn!
