Trophy winners
The DTA peoples choice award ’13 created by seaside Neil Went to Darren Bonds awesome panel van. Not only does this bus have the most awesome patina, the running gear & undercarriage have better detailing than most show cars. 
Aircooled accesories Chose these three as their choice. Pj gibbons fully detailed beryl green beetle, Wai Man Shins slammed rhd ghia riding on juice & David Halls wind up window barn door.
Viva skeg vegas & The video volks both chose DTA cars. Viva going with Mikes 411 & TVV going for Petes fire bay
Aire valley speed shop chose Vic Fauxs 55 oval slammed on porsche pattern steels. 
Hayburners choice went too James Murtoughs og paint low light ghia.
One sixth bruce chose Jamies Palm green sand green bus.

First and foremost I would like to thank every single person who made the effort to come to our meet on Sunday despite the terrible weather forecast. My i phone said Tysley had a 80% chance of rain all day, apart from at 3.00 at which point we had a 100% chance of a storm. How?! How on earth did we get away with that? I saw people in t shirts and shorts – The sun shone, and thank goodness it did!
I’ve got a short list of thank-you’s and I’m really sorry if I miss anyone.
The bbq! – Dan, Dans Dad, Jess, Ali, Amanda & June. They all worked so hard all day providing drinks and food.
Trophies! – Aire valley speed shop, Aircooled accessories, Aircooled apparel, Hayburner, Viva skeg vegas, Seaside Neil, the Video Volks & Wai Man Shin. The best trophies given at a vw meet? Quite possibly…
Free beer! – Well I’m sorry if you missed it. We had 70 bottles of DTA labeled beer donated by Wai Man Shin. It was good, and went very fast! 😉
Parking! – Gareth Smith & Jamie Mellish. Without these guys the parking would have been a nightmare. As any one who attended knows, the parking was extremely tight. Without these fellas it could have ended up a complete mess.
Free magazines! – As if goodie bags, free beer and a free meet weren’t enough, Hayburner & Volksworld brought boxes of magazines to give away. Nice one!
I’ll stop rambling now and allow the pictures to do the talking. A limbo, burnouts and in my opinion some of the coolest cars in the UK. What more could you want? See you all next year x

Baz’s Adventure Wagon!
Some of you may remember Baz’s (Mark Barrows) sav beige early bay slammed on all black brm’s.
While Baz had no immediate plan to sell the bus, fellow club member Graham Lyall imported a rather rad bus with a rare camping conversion in original paint.
Baz knew what to do, and a deal was struck. Graham was sorting the bus through tomot and then Mark would take over for the slamming 8).
The bus passed its mot today and is now ready for full a polish, rims and…. air ride. This will be one killer ride.
Gareth’s supercharged 30hp
Having said goodbye to the Hebmuller, Gareth has turned his attention to a ’50 split window beetle. The inspiration behind the build is for a Mille Miglia style car.
Check out Stefs progress on the pepco supercharged motor for it. Stef as many of you will know is a DTA member along with owning http://www.ace-vw.com.
